The Province at Kent in Kent, OH celebrated the first day of spring in the perfect way. The management team provided all of the supplies and led a demonstration on planting an herb garden. What better way to welcome spring than by going green! The residents had an awesome time and will soon be enjoying the herbs of their labor.
The teams at Pura Vida Place, Local Apartments and Carriage House in Fort Collins, CO helped send their residents to spring break in style AND safety. The teams at these communities put together spring break survival guides complete with lip balm, sunscreen and a water bottle. They also made sure there was a little fun in there too so frisbees and glow sticks helped complete the bags. These residents are officially prepared for a perfect spring break.
The District on 5th Avenue in Tucson, AZ helped get their residents in spring break shape and a relaxed frame of mind with sunset yoga. They even helped their residents get in the yoga spirit by sharing a few yoga moves before the event. Yoga Poses Tutorial
GrandMarc at the Corner in Charlottesville, VA prepped their residents for spring break and beyond during their Thirsty Thursday event. Mocktails, sliders and other snacks were on hand as the staff at GrandMarc shared life-saving alcohol tips and handouts just in time for spring break. Another timely spring break item was the Beats Wireless Headphone giveaway to help encourage residents to attend the event and educate themselves and others.
Midterms week carry a lot of stress. Trying to cram for exams, prep for spring break and maintain some sort of normal sleep schedule takes its tole. But The Retreat at Oxford in Oxford, MS helped take one thing off the plate of its resident – test supplies! The Retreat supplied its residents with free green, purple and blue scan trons PLUS the pencils to go with them. Hopefully Retreat residents filled them out with the correct answers!
Spring is right around the corner, but Spring Break is officially here! As our residents are gearing up to hit the road, the gym, the pillow…whatever their spring break plans, we want to help! The Live here, Live well theme for March is all things spring break! Our LHLW efforts will focus on helping residents take a healthy approach and make healthy decisions regarding their spring break. Our communities will host resident events such as spring break survival guides, alcohol awareness and send off festivities. And our Live here, Live well inspired social media posts will also be geared towards Spring Break survival. From sun safety tips to homeward bound survival guides, there will be something for every spring breaker.
The Province at Kent in Kent, OH made some pretty awesome accommodations to help their residents get prepped for mid-terms. The Clubhouse hours were extended until midnight Monday-Thursday during mid-term week. In addition to the study hours, the staff also provided fresh coffee and healthy snacks to help their residents power through those study sessions. The study struggle is real, but not so bad with a nice quiet study space and yummy snacks.
